WHAT'S NEW in the Counseling Department?

We are pleased to announce that Wildwood Middle School will be promoting Jefferson County’s PASS Program and are hoping to recruit parents, community members, and even staff to be trained and paired with a student. PASS stands for Providing Academic and Self-esteem Support and is designed to have an overall positive impact on a students’ academic and personal/social development. Once we have successfully recruited and trained a PASS volunteer, we will then be able to match that volunteer with a student here at WMS. The program requires very little time from the volunteer but has the ability to have an enormous and lifelong impact on the student. So please help us get the word out that we are looking for volunteers who can donate at least 30 minutes a week. Hopefully we will have this extra support available for our students at WMS!

For more information on the PASS program please contact Mrs. Vanorsdale in the Counseling Department at
